Persuasive Writing

I was learning to write a persuasive piece of writing.I can think of lots of reason why ice-cream is better then chocolate.It was easy to persuade the reader to think that ice-cream is better than chocolate because ice-cream is very yummy.

Telling Time

bn I was learning to understand 24 hour time and write the time in number and word. I can read the time on the clock and write it in digital time then in words.It was easy because I had already learnt to tell the time.

Antonyms and Synonyms

I was learning to recognise a range of language features.I can identify different language features.It was tricky to find antonyms and synonyms because we were unsure of the meaning of some of the words.

Youthtown

I love Youthtown because they have lots of games. At Youthtown I learnt to play new games. My favourite game we have played is cat and mouse.

Acrostic Poems

I was learning to write an acrostic poem. I can write an acrostic poem about Halloween. It was easy to write an acrostic poem because there is lots of things we can say about the topic; Halloween.

It was easy because the picture prompts help me to write my story.

Making Connections

I was learning to make connections.
I can use the phrase 'that reminds me of 'to identify experiences that are the same.
I found this tricky because I could not think of anything that was similar to the stories.    

Word Mania

I was learning to make words using different letter.
I can make lots of words using the letter provided.
It was easy because there was lots of letter to choose from.

Frog Jump Multiplication

I  was learning to solve multiplication problems.
I can multiply two digits together to reach an answer.
It was easy because I could solve the problem using repeated addition

Making Inferences

I was learning to make inferences.I can identify and describe what the author wanted me to feel, in the text. It was tricky because it was not easy to find the clues in the text.

Place Value

I was learning about place value.I can identify how hundreds, tens and ones were in 3 digit numbers.It was easy because the video we watched in class explained place value well.

Skip Counting in 10's

I was learning to skip count forward and backwards. I can skip count forwards and backwards 10's starting from any number. It was easy to skip count in 10's because ten is a tidy number.

Making Predictions

I was learning to make predictions.I can check to see if my predictions were right by using the text. I was easy to make predictions because the pictures on the front cover helps me.

Road Safety

Stop look and listen. Dont run across the road, use the zebra crossing!

Vowel Sounds

I was learning about the short and long vowel sounds. I can tell the difference between the long and short vowel sounds.It was easy to tell the difference between the vowel sounds because the video explained it well.

Water Sklls

Skip Counting

I was learning to skip count in 2`s and 5`s.I learnt how to skip count in 2`s and 5`s. It was easy to skip count in 2`s because I have learnt this before.

Plot

I was learning to talk about the plot of the story. I know how to talk about the plot of the story. It was easy to talk about the plot of the story because I have learnt about it before.
